One tearful customer at the Wedding Dress Sale, held at Commissioner's House in Chatham, at the weekend said: "I just couldn't believe my luck. The dress was perfect. I had been looking for this style of dress for so long and was about to give up. I was expecting to pay around £1,000 but when the lady from June Brides told me it was £100 I just cried." The sale organiser, Georgette Jarvis, who runs Bridal Hair & Beauty, was delighted with the successful of the inaugural event, despite the blustery weather outside. Georgette said: "We have never done anything like this before but we will definitely hold another – and much bigger – wedding dress sale in July."
